Point65 Whisky 16 Rocker Kayak
The Point 65 Whisky 16 Rocker is the ultimate playboat in 3-layer ultra tough Polyethylene, designed by Nigel Foster, for ultra-precise handling and manoeuvrability.
Even so, an absolute novice feels like Nigel Foster in the cockpit of a Whisky 16. On gentle waters the boat is comfortable, stable, and easily manoeuvred – an ideal boat to develop skills.
For the experienced paddler, the Whisky16 Rocker is perfect for getting in and out of rocky outcrops, surfing on tidal races or manoeuvring. With its fuller bow and stern shape to reduce plunging, the Whisky 16 is designed to make the most of rough water, surf, and currents. It is perfect for day trips but spacious enough for a self-contained expedition paddling.
The Whisky 16 Rocker has a more distinctive Rocker (the hull has a distinctive banana shape). The Rocker makes it more manoeuvrable and nimble which is great when paddling in waves or surf and going in and out of rock gardens along the coast for fun and rock hopping.
Featuring hard chine along the whole length of the hull for increased stability and maneuverability.
The Whisky16 Tourer (limited quantity and orange only) has a lower rocker which gives the kayak more speed and tracking which is ideal for touring.

Review by Thomas:
The final verdict on the Point65 Whiskey 16 Rocker is nothing short of positive. The maneuverability, the unprecedented stability, practical deployability, it is all great for each other. The focus of this test was on practice, but the construction of the kayak is also fine. Point 65 has years of experience with polyethylene products and has also created a great product with the Whiskey 16. Actually, there is quite something to be said for a short, manoeuvrable kayak, because how often does large water provide a mirror-smooth surface? Isn't a dynamic kayak better for a dynamic environment? Something to think about the next time I sit in my own kayak, also a Point65, but more than 5 meters long and specialized in going straight.
